Wade Johnson Outfitting (WJO) has some outstanding black bear hunts in Arizona. These hunts take place primarily in the Fall season and are as exciting as Arizona and New Mexico bear hunting gets. We utilize spot and stalk tactics and hounds to hunt these bears. There is never a dull moment during our bear hunts and hunters can expect to hunt some awesome country on their hunt.

   The bears harvested on these hunts run on the large side and the colors vary from jet black to an occasional color phase bear. On some of these hunts, the bears actually congregate in the prickly pear patches and it is not unusual to see as many as 20 to 25 bear from one vantage point.
